Whaddon Way Church is the home of a joint Baptist and Church of England congregation, situated in West Bletchley, Milton Keynes. We believe that ministering healing prayer in the name of Jesus should be a normal part of the Church's activities. Prayer ministry is offered after every morning service; it is felt to be important that healing is seen as an ongoing and visible part of Christ's continuing work, and that the church is following Christ's example and instruction.
In addition, the church building is open for prayer on Monday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.00pm, and a group is available for all who would like prayer, or just a listening ear. This allows deeper and lengthier prayer ministry in a more peaceful environment than that which is available after Sunday services.
In the autumn of 2005 we celebrated the establishment of a partnership with the Christian Healing Mission in London, by which we are recognised as a ‘Link Centre’ and benefit from the training and experience offered by a specialised and well-respected Christian Healing Centre.
Our Prayer Ministry Team is available in the church on Monday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.00pm for anyone who would like prayer for healing, or just a listening ear. Prayer is offered by experienced and trained individuals, working in pairs in a quiet and confidential environment.
Please call 01908 373203 for an appointment.
The
church building is the single-storey grey Terrapin building on the
corner of Whaddon Way and Beaverbrook Court, about half way along
Whaddon Way. The building has a ramp to allow easy wheelchair
access. There is a car park in Beaverbrook Court.
We have two dedicated prayer rooms which are available for quiet ministry, as well as the worship area. All of our prayer ministers have been fully trained, police checked, and accredited by the church, and operate under a set of agreed guidelines.
On arrival you will be offered a cup of tea or coffee, and if this is your first visit we will spend a little time explaining how we operate. Then you will meet your prayer ministers (we always work in pairs, at least one of whom will be of the same gender as yourself) and we can spend up to an hour listening to what has brought you, and then sensitively pray for you in one of our rooms.
The church is presently open on Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays) from 7.30pm until 9.00pm, and it is fine to drop in - although a telephone call on 01908 373203 or sending an e-mail to minister@whaddonwaychurch.org.uk beforehand to make an appointment will mean that we are better prepared for you.

No, our role is to spend time with you in quiet and peaceful surroundings to allow God to work in your life. If we feel that we are not best suited to help you, we will aim to assist you to find help elsewhere.

Confidentiality is strictly maintained within our Prayer Ministry Team. Confidentiality will only be broken if required by law or if we consider there is a risk of danger to you or to others.
Don't worry, we are always pleased to meet and pray with people, whether they are church-goers or not.
Our work is totally free of charge, but any donations towards the running of our work would be gratefully received.
The Christian Healing Mission is based in London and began life in 1948. It is a non-residential healing centre directed by the Revd John Ryeland. The Mission is an independent, registered charity and works closely with people and churches of all denominations. The Mission has four aims: to be a place where people can come for prayer, to encourage churches in the healing ministry, to respond to requests for prayer and to train people and churches in the healing ministry. To further these aims in a more effective way, part of their long-term vision is to establish centres of healing to encourage churches in this ministry throughout the country, and we at Whaddon Way Church have been formally operating as a 'Link Centre' with the Mission since October 2005. All our Prayer Ministers are trained to the same standards as the Mission and operate under their guidelines.
