Whaddon Way is an active church and encourages its members to participate by turning up at midweek meetings, helping out on rotas, and contributing to the groups that have been set up to manage one of the functions of the church.

Midweek Meetings

House-groups

These meet in people's homes primarily to pray and study the bible either following the sermon series or a topic chosen by the home-group, though there is also a great deal of social chat. There are four groups:

Melrose House-group: meets Tuesdays at 8:00pm
Taste and See: meets Thursdays at 10:15 in church
Thursday House-group: meets Thursdays at 1:30pm
Thursday Evening House-group: meets Thursdays at 8:00pm

Prayer meetings

Prayer ministry for healing: Mondays 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Tuesdays 2:00pm
Saturdays 8:00am

Social and Educational

Time for You; Tuesdays 10:00am

Living Stones: Thursdays 7:30pm

Functional groups

These are described in more detail elsewhere on the site, along with a description of the organisation of the church. They meet irregularly as needed, and report annually to the church meeting.

Mission Group: provides the bridge between Whaddon way and the external bodies we support, some of whose logos are visible to the left.
Outreach group: organises our contacts with the local community and also Alpha Courses.
Prayer Ministry Team: organises pastoral matters and the link with the Christian healing mission.
Youth leaders: organises our youth work.
Building: various groups dealing with the new building project.

There are many rotas, more help would be welcomed on all of them.
