The Twyford Boys’ Brigade

The Twyford Boys Brigade is a uniformed organisation for boys and young men and is part of the LEP. It provides boys of all ages with an opportunity to have fun, engage in a whole range of activities, geared to the specific age group, that excite and challenge the youngster of today.

In the winter months it meets on a Monday evening in the URC church Hall and is split into essentially 3 age groups. Anchor Boys for boys of school year 1 to 4: Junior Section for boys of school year 5 to 7 and Company Section/Seniors for boys in school year 7 to 14. In May we move outside and enjoy such things as treasure hunts, swimming, outings and games in the park. For the older boys we also go camping twice a year, play tennis, Pitch and Putt and arrange outings in each half term

In Twyford we have a proven track record of reaching out to boys-both in and outside the church- and from different backgrounds and providing them with an all round friendly, stimulating and exciting programme.

We are open for new members in all three sections and we are also looking for help from men and women who would be prepared to be helpers or become full BB officers. Please contact Peter or Maureen Tate on 0118 9345093 for more details.
