Here's just
a few questions that our 'Lightening Bolts' (and others) have come up

What are the pictures around the walls?
|
They
are the 'stations of the cross' - they are used most during Lent, helping
us reflect on the events at the time of the death of Jesus.

Why is there no tower?
|
Ancient
churches had towers for various reasons, eg for a look out, to hang the
bells. These were not needs when a 'modern' church building was designed
in the early 60's
|
Who was
St. Peter?
|
One of Jesus'
disciples, and a leader of the early church. A fisherman by trade, Jesus
gave him the name Peter (the rock) saying that he would be the rock on which
the Christian church is founded. He was martyred for his faith, being crucified
head downwards.
|
What is key club?
|
An after
school club for children, originally to prepare those who take communion
on Sundays. It meets occasionally on Monday evenings.
