Planned Giving Scheme 2007
We will soon be organising distribution of the new
Planned Giving envelopes for 2007/08. So this is a good time to ask
all members of the congregations to make sure that their giving for
the work of the church is as effective as possible.
Here are a few
such questions:
-
If you currently give cash in the collections would you
consider joining our Planned Giving scheme. This enables you to
indicate what you plan to give over the year (but with no formal
commitment) and helps us budget accordingly. You can choose to
pay regularly by Bank Standing Order or by using a set of weekly
envelopes.
-
If you are already in the Planned Giving Scheme and use
weekly envelopes would you consider changing to a Bank Standing Order
(which can be each week, month, quarter or year). Once this is set up
it is less effort for you and much less time-consuming for those who
have to record and bank our money. If you would feel uncomfortable
about not giving something when the collection plate comes round, then
you can use one of our special cards which confirms that you give
regularly via the bank.
-
If you give money to the parish by any means and are a
tax-payer but have not completed a Gift Aid form then please do so
since this enables us to claim back from the Government an extra 28p
for each £1 you give.
If you need more information or the necessary
Planned Giving, Gift Aid or Standing Order forms then please ask one
of the Churchwardens or contact our Planned Giving Secretary, Margaret
Day (tel: 375916).
