The Gathering As mentioned in last week's update, "a picture was shared of a dam with a large crack appearing in the middle of the reinforced concrete. The water was starting to escape and find its way into the valley." It has been suggested that another equally valid interpretation of this might be that we in St Mary's have been greatly blessed, and it is now a special time for us to let the blessing given to us go out into the community around us. With this and last weeks thoughts in mind, it has been decided that the theme for the January Gathering will be "Our Community." We will meet together and pray blessings on the community of Cogges. At Christmas and Epiphany we remember that Jesus came in human form to a local community. So it is very fitting that our next Gathering is on Epiphany - Wednesday 6th January. Andrew Pritchard CTiW Monthly Prayer breakfasts at High St. Methodist 8-9.30am on 28th November and 19th December 2009 Prayer opportunity Members of the Prayer Ministry Team are always available to pray with you after the 11am services. Some members of the team (in pairs) can also offer a longer prayer appointment at a time to suit, normally for those who have been a member of the church for 6 months or more. If you are seeking God for guidance, would value prayer for a particular issue or situation, or simply want to move forward in your Christian life, you may find this helpful. To find out more or to ask for an appointment please speak to Hilary Warner (771809). 1 1
