What We Do

St. Peter's is home to an enthusiastic group of Christians, providing a range of worship and resources for people of all ages.

Children Supporting
Young People Celebrating
Adults Exploring

As Christians, we believe that God cares about every aspect of our lives. We try to express that at St. Peter's by supporting people in times of trouble, joining with them in times of celebration and helping them to explore the meaning and purpose of life.

Children

Our Sunday Club (3-11) and Soul Living (for young people) start at 10.00am on Sunday in Church with the rest of the Church family, going out to their own activities in the school after the first fifteen minutes. (During the monthly Family Service the young people remain in church). This important time of all-age worship reminds us that we are to be “All one in Christ Jesus”.

The church has very close ties with the church-aided school in Cassington. The clergy and youth workers play an active part in the school's life through taking assemblies in school and special services throughout the year in church. There is the possibility of restarting an after-school club.

Young People

Sunday Soul Living is the group for 11-16 year olds on Sunday mornings. It aims to be a place where young people can explore the Christian faith and work out what it means for them.

Once they reach secondary school age the young people are encouraged to also join the various midweek youth groups and cell groups based in Eynsham under the leadership of the Youth Worker.

Homegroups

Two separate groups offer a weekly opportunity for friendship and Bible study at two different venues in Cassington village. We also offer ‘virtual' membership for those who cannot attend on a regular basis and an email newswire offers a church update and topics for prayer.

Supporting

The Clergy and our Pastoral Leader, Pat Vereker and her team, are always willing to talk with people and find help when needed. It may be a crisis over a relationship, a long term health concern or simply a free lift to the doctors surgery! Church members regularly visit the village nursing home and also reach out to the whole village via the village newsletter.
