ST HELEN'S CHARITABLE GIVING

Charitable giving is an integral part of the fabric and mission of St Helen’s. For many years the church donated about one tenth of its income to charitable causes but this percentage has slipped in recent years due to heavy financial commitments to the Redevelopment Programme.

The Charitable Giving Group (CGG), set up in 2008 under the chairmanship of the late Arthur Morgan, advises the DCC on which charitable causes to support. The present group comprises Peter Penfold (chairman), Sue Austin, Tom Hardy and Chris Brown. The group welcomes any suggestions from St Helen’s members for potential recipients, funds permitting.
