this opening talk in the Autumn 2005 series, Danny looks
at the ever-increasing expectation that we should always
be rushing, to the detriment of our family, our life and

Technical:
From May 4th 2008 the talks are
available for download in iPod-ready MP3 format. Talks in
the Archive section or the four sample talks listed above
are stored in the very compact Windows Media Audio (WMA) format.
Listen Again now:
if you click on any "Listen Again" icon then your
computer is most likely to begin playing the audio after a
few seconds. Be aware that variable Internet conditions may
cause interruptions in playback.
Download
for later listening: if you want to download and save
the audio file to listen to later, then right-click the "Listen
Again" icon next to the talk you want, then select the
[Save Target As ...]
option on the pop-up menu. Files average between 3 and 6MB
in size, and typically run for between 20 and 40 minutes.
Apple
Mac and i-Pod users: this MacWorld
article from March 2005 (opens in a new window) provides
a number of links to options that will allow you to either
play WMA files directly on your Mac, or convert them into
an iPod-compatible MP3 file. Please note that CCLF has no
connection with MacWorld or the suppliers mentioned therein,
and has not tested any of the offerings.
